Overview:
The AU8515 is a sophisticated demodulator IC for digital terrestrial (ATSC 8-VSB) signal. The AU8515 builds on Auvitek's powerful and efficient demodulation algorithms and adaptive signal tracking architectures to deliver unprecedented receiver performance.
The innovative features of the AU8515 consist of the digital ATSC 8-VSB demodulation provided in a single chip, low cost solution for terrestrial DTV front ends. Following demodulation and error correction, it provides an MPEG-2 transport stream to the transport demultiplexer.
The AU8515’s small size and low power make it well suited for any system designed to receive information from DTV broadcasts including stand-alone SDTV or HDTV sets, STB's, and PC peripheral appliances.
