Overview:
The AU8800 is a fully GB20600-2006 multi-carrier compliant, high performance channel decoder supporting all multi carrier digital terrestrial TV broadcast modes and standards for the Hong Kong and China market. The AU8800 is based on a unique patent protected architecture called FADETM (fully adaptive demodulation and equalization), which enables the AU8800 to provide the “best in class” multi– carrier performance among all demodulators in the DTMB receiver market. The AU8800 is not only a high performance SOC but also enables a cost effective bill-of-material by integrating additional components such as an high speed 12-bit ADC, programmable IF input, automatic mode detection circuit and memory. Based around Auvitek’s unique FADETM demodulation architecture, the AU8800 sets a new bar in multi-carrier receiver performance and builds on Auvitek’s history of high volume shipments of market leading single-carrier ATSC channel decoders. The solutions based on the AU8800 are able to experience stable reception in all modes of operation, faster lock and channel change times, consistent performance across a wide range of network topologies and low power enabling it to be used in a variety of applications such as STB, DTV, CE equipment, after market accessories and PCTV.
