Overview:
The AU8820 is a fully GB20600-2006 compliant, high performance channel decoder supporting all digital terrestrial TV broadcast modes and standards for the China market. The AU8820 is based on a unique patent protected architecture called FADETM (fully adaptive demodulation and equalization), which enables the AU8820 to provide the “best in class” performance among all demodulators in the DTMB receiver market. In addition, the AU8820 is an highly integrated SOC consisting of an high speed 12-bit ADC, programmable IF input, automatic mode detection circuit and memory to enable a low bill-of-material cost. Based around Auvitek’s unique FADETM demodulation architecture, the AU8820 sets a new bar in multi-carrier receiver performance and builds on Auvitek’s history of high volume shipments of market leading single-carrier ATSC channel decoders. The solutions based on the AU8820 are able to experience stable reception in all modes of operation, faster lock and channel change times, consistent performance across a wide range of network topologies. In addition, because of the low operating power AU8820 can be used in a variety of applications such as Digital Television, PCTV (embedded and USB dongles), STB / IPSTB, Portable TV, PC embedded products and other CE equipment.
